Sax & Flute player

Saxophonist and flutist Sébastien JAMES, known professionally as “SebioJazz” frequently performs with various bands, either as a side musician, substitute, or as the main artist in the south of France and internationally.

He is involved in diverse and dynamic musical projects, participating in concerts, public events, and private occasions such as congresses, birthdays, and weddings.

Sebio initially took up music for enjoyment and, more importantly, to meet the request of his physically disabled brother (who was an aspiring drummer) to play music together. While this leisurely activity brought satisfaction to both brothers, it was the discovery of the smooth sound of David Sanborn that ultimately motivated Sebio to seriously dedicate himself to playing the saxophone and eventually turn it into his profession.

🎷

Today, while maintaining his passion, playing music has also been his profession for 35 years. After successfully completing all of his music qualifications and adding the flute as a second instrument for professional requirements, he has been recruited by various municipal schools and conservatories in the Alpes-Maritimes region to share his musical knowledge, driven by his passion for music and jazz, among other genres.

Additionally, he has fulfilled his dream of being conductor of a Jazz big band for a decade, an experience that exposed him to conducting, writing, and arrangements, broadening his understanding of music.

With this diverse experience, Sebio offers private saxophone and transverse flute lessons, finds time for composition and musical production, while also continuing to perform live with his various bands.
